Draper Valley Baptist Church was organized on November 3, 1901, upon the request of several brethren who felt the need for such a ministry in our area. The church had thirteen original members and met in the Conner Valley’s School House in Draper Valley until 1903. At this time, a new clapboard church was erected on land donated by Mr. W. H. Warden. The first pastor was T. M. Bane who led the church until 1913.
Official records were spotty at best from 1913 through the 1920’s. During the early 1930’s the church was active but hard times found it difficult to find a permanent pastor. At that time, members attended other local churches to receive spiritual guidance.
In the spring of 1959, the land was purchased where the church is now located. Construction on the wing of this church was started and through God’s provision we were able to move into it in August of 1960. In late 1962, construction began on the sanctuary and on Mother’s Day of 1963 the church building was dedicated to the glory of God.
By God’s grace we continue to worship our Lord and Savior in the building He provided for us.
